For Property Owners & Partners
How does a Ride Goat fleet actually work on my property?
You sign a partnership agreement, we deploy a fleet sized to your property, and we operate it from day one. Riders download the Goat app, scan a QR on the scooter, pay per ride, and go. Charging, repair, repositioning, customer support, insurance, and the rider app are all handled by us. You provide the property and the rider audience; we provide everything else and split the resulting revenue.
What's the minimum scale — how small a property can host a fleet?
Our smallest active deployments start around 15–20 scooters, which is typically the right size for a single corporate building, a mid-size hospitality property, or a residential community of a few hundred units. There's no fixed maximum — our flagship corporate campus deployment runs significantly larger. If you're under 15 scooters, the unit economics usually push us to recommend our pre-owned Segway Max program instead, which has a lower entry cost.
Who handles maintenance, charging, and broken scooters?
We do, completely. Ride Goat staffs a local operations crew responsible for daily charging swaps, mechanical inspections, cosmetic cleaning, repositioning, and repair. Every scooter reports its battery, motor health, and any fault codes back to our dashboard so we can pull units before they fail in the field. Your property team is never expected to touch a scooter.
What's the revenue split with the property?
Ride Goat shares revenue with every property partner on a per-ride basis. The exact split depends on the fleet size, expected ride volume, and how much real estate the property dedicates to charging and parking. Most partners land in a range that produces a meaningful monthly check from day one. Use our revenue calculator for a quick estimate, or email us for a custom proposal.
What insurance is required, and who carries it?
Ride Goat carries commercial general liability and product liability insurance written specifically for shared micromobility. We name the partner property as an additional insured where appropriate and provide a current certificate of insurance before launch and on renewal. The partner does not need to add a new policy to host us.
How long until launch after we sign?
For a standard corporate-campus deployment, expect 6–10 weeks from signed agreement to first ride. The schedule includes a site visit, geofence configuration, charging-room setup, hardware delivery, local ops hiring or activation, and a soft-launch period for your residents or employees. Pre-owned Segway Max deployments can move faster because we typically have refurbished inventory on hand.
What's the contract length?
Most partner agreements run two to three years, with renewal terms negotiated 90 days before expiration. Shorter pilot programs are available for properties that want to validate ridership before committing — ask us about a 90-day pilot structure when you reach out.
Can I see references or visit an active fleet?
Yes. We're happy to put you in touch with current partner properties (with their permission) and, when geography permits, arrange a site visit to an active deployment. Our flagship Power Design corporate campus deployment in St. Petersburg, FL is frequently used as a reference site. Email hello@ridegoat.com to set it up.
For Riders
How do I unlock a Ride Goat scooter?
Download the Goat app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account, add a payment method, and scan the QR code on the scooter's handlebar. The first time you ride, the app walks you through a short safety tutorial before unlock. After that, every unlock takes about five seconds.
What does it cost to ride?
Pricing varies by property, but standard rides on a public Ride Goat fleet are typically a small unlock fee plus a per-minute rate. Some partner properties subsidize rides for their residents or employees — if your campus or community offers a private rate, you'll see it automatically when you scan a scooter on that property. The exact price for any given ride is always shown in the app before you start.
What if the scooter breaks during my ride?
Tap "Report an Issue" in the app and the ride ends immediately at no further charge. Our ops team is dispatched to retrieve the scooter, and you can grab another one if there's a unit nearby. If you need help in the moment, the in-app support button connects you to a live agent. For any safety concern, also call 911 first — the report can wait.
Where can I ride and where can I park?
The Goat app shows live ride zones, slow zones, no-ride zones, and approved parking spots for the property you're on. Inside ride zones, you can ride at full speed. In slow zones, the scooter automatically caps your speed. In no-ride zones, the scooter will refuse to start or will gradually slow to a stop. Park in any green-marked parking zone in the app to end your ride and avoid an off-zone parking fee.
